Movement facility inspired by the Ido Portal Method
We believe in being better people, and better movers. Most of us lead sedentary life styles and sit large portions of the day. We aim to move and improve our bodies through movement.
Movement training is a contemporary paradigm shift- it is a comprehensive assortment of the best training methods in all disciplines. We apply these methods systematically with the ultimate goal of being able to undertake any new movement task, sport, or discipline with great proficiency.
What is Movement Training?
We can’t train everything we want to be good at- the spectrum is too wide. Instead we focus on training movements or sections of various disciplines that are the most demanding on certain systems of the body, and in the process we also become proficient in everything less demanding on those systems. For example, if we practice a selection of gymnastics skills, we can become very proficient at yoga by extension, but not the other way around. Typical core disciplines of a movement practice include gymnastics, Brazilian jiu jitsu, hand balancing, contemporary dance, and olympic weightlifting, among many others.
